Instructor Janet Greene holds an MA in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University and a BA in Child Development from Scripps College.  She has completed the Orff Levels Training, and received a Fulbright scholarship and an Austrian Government grant to attend the one year Special Course at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria.

Janet is the music and creative movement specialist at Oak Grove and Monte Rio elementary schools, and was on the faculty of the San Francisco Symphony Keeping Score Project for classroom teachers.  She also teaches Orff courses at Mendocino College and the San Francisco Orff Course.  Janet has developed curriculum materials which integrate music and dance into the math, science and language arts disciplines.  She has also received several grants to teach English with music for second language learners.

Janet has offered international courses for teachers and students in Bali, Bhutan, Thailand and South Africa.  She is a presenter at local and national Orff, music and early childhood conferences.  She enjoys playing the harpsichord and the accordion.
