Students in Orff classes make music with their voices and bodies, singing, chanting and clapping  rhymes and rhythms.  They play in an orchestra of glockenspiels, xylophones, drums and other percussion instruments.   The sounds are magical and entrancing and provide instant success. Children improvise and create their own music, as well as learn melodies, rhythms and ostinato patterns.  In instrumental ensembles they create a non-competitive, musical community.
