The Orff Schulwerk, developed by composers Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman is a joyful approach to music and dance education. Classes for children integrate songs, rhymes, creative movement, instruments, folk dance, and drama. In an atmosphere of play and discovery, children develop individual music and dance skills, creativity and a sense of community. The Orff approach provides a strong instrumental, vocal and rhythmic foundation.

Students play in an ensemble of Orff instruments (wood xylophones and glockenspiels), recorders, drums and percussion instruments.
